George R. Kober, P.E. - Principal Engineer

George’s 23 years of experience has given him a well-rounded background in bridge engineering and design. Having studied under Drs. Fisher and Yen at Lehigh, he has particular expertise in fatigue analysis, design and inspection.  He has a broad working knowledge in the design of various structure types, including steel girder bridges, prestressed concrete bridges and the award-winning design of two steel curved girder bridges carrying the Nahattan Street rotary over Route 1.  His understanding of bridge durability and performance is enhanced by his experience with over 300 bridge inspections and ratings throughout Massachusetts, including the existing Route 79/I-195 interchange bridges. For over six years he has collaborated with J.F. White as Project Manager on the $55M Neponset River Bridge Rehabilitation and the I-93 Fast 14 Bridge Project.  He was a major contributor to the $267M reconstruction of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.
