Emergency Repairs
MassDOT Bridge Route I-95 over Merrimack River: Emergency bridge repairs to critical interstate highway river crossing, including the erection of additional ultra-high strength steel hangers to supplement deterioration of suspension cable hangers and repair of floorbeams that had fatigue cracks. All repairs were performed while maintaining vehicular traffic over the bridge.

MassDOT Bridge Sprague Street over MBTA: As a result of a vehicular impact to a major load carrying diagonal on the Sprague Street Bridge over the MBTA Commuter Rail in Boston, the structure was reduced to a six-ton carrying capacity. The damage to the member was significant. The pin and eye-bar construction of the truss made repairs difficult. The design incorporated the erection of a shoring tower, which would support the entire load thereby bypassing the damaged member.
